Transforming science education through innovation is at the heart of what we do. We are so thrilled to share the news that LearnSci has won a prestigious King's Award for Enterprise 2023: Innovation.

This achievement is testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team at LearnSci, as well as that of our global community of science educators. They share our commitment to transforming laboratory-based teaching and we dedicate this award to them.

What is a King’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation?

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the UK.

2023 marks the first year of The King’s Awards for Enterprise, reflecting His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, by recognising outstanding UK businesses.

The Award for Innovation celebrates the success of businesses who are leading the way with pioneering products or services. This year, we are one of 47 organisations who have been recognised for their contribution to Innovation.

"We are honoured to have our work acknowledged in this way with the King’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2023. This Award belongs to the whole team at LearnSci and we are immensely proud to make a difference to the lives of so many science students and educators around the world. It’s especially pleasing to be recognised for innovation in education as this underpins everything we do in the company to create better and more inclusive opportunities for teaching and learning. We want to thank all of our customers and partners for putting their trust in us and we look forward to continuing our amazing journey together."

Our journey to success

LearnSci has been recognised for our transformative online digital solutions, and the way we support universities in science and engineering skills and laboratory-based teaching.

Since 2007, we have recognised the challenges universities face when providing effective laboratory-based teaching. Initially, we worked closely with teaching academics in the UK to find innovative solutions that help overcome those challenges. Now, our dedicated team works with universities across the world, creating LabSims and Smart Worksheet solutions that substantially contribute to the effective provision of laboratory-based teaching.

Thank you to our Community

This award is as much a recognition of our community of science educators as it is a celebration of our own work. Our collaboration with these dedicated educators has been critical in our efforts to transform laboratory-based teaching and enhance the development of students' scientific skills. We love working alongside this community to create innovative solutions that are revolutionising the way students learn.

This award is an incredible honour for us, but it is just the beginning. We remain committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in science education, and to continuing to work with our community to create the most effective and transformative solutions for students around the world.
